美國遺傳學家Ralph L. Brinster(1932年03月10日－至今），在1960年代就開創小鼠胚胎基因修飾和轉殖等多項關鍵技術，專精於胚胎細胞分化(embryonic-cell differentiation), 基因控制的發展機制(developmental mechanisms of gene control)和幹細胞生理學(stem cell physiology)。他的革命性技術奠定基因轉殖小鼠在目前基因學研究不可取代的重要地位，其影響涵蓋了今日的生物，醫學及農業領域。
