1964年11月27日 科學家闡明了連結丙氨酸與 DNA 的 tRNA 功能

1964 年 11 月 27 日，美國生化學家 Robert W. Holley 發現轉運 RNA (tRNA) 結構的論文投稿至Journal of Biological Chemistry，為解釋訊息 RNA (mRNA) 轉變為蛋白質過程的重要里程碑，而 tRNA 同時也是第一個獲得確認的 RNA 結構。Holley 因此與 Har Gobind Khorana 和 Marshall W. Nirenberg 共同獲頒 1968 年諾貝爾生理醫學獎。
